OMG!!!! I cannot calm myself down!! I just picked up my favorite nail magazine, Nail Max, from Kinokuniya(Japanese Nail store), and I was reading it as usual... Then, I found my nail art picture in the magazine!!!!!! I can't believe it!! How exciting is it!? I have to buy the issue and frame it!!!!
I get a lot of questions about 3D art! So... I want to give you some tips about how to do 3D art !
Today, I want to talk about what you need to prepare to start 3D art! Here is the list of what you need to have!!
Good Brush
Acrylic Powder
Liquid
Dappen Dish
Paper Towel
Aluminium Foil
That's all you need to have to start 3D art! As I wrote before, I do want you to have good brush! Also, I want you to have good acrylic powder and liquid. I know there are many cheap ones, but don't buy these cheap ones!! There are reasons why these are cheap!! The cheap ones are normally very hard to work with, and the colors fade to yellow! I personally like to use Ezflow acrylic system, but please try other acrylic systems too! I want you to find the one you are comfortable to work with! Everyone has different preference!
These are the ones I like to work with!
Next time, I will talk about the basics of 3D art!

When I practice 3D art,it's very frustrating if it doesn't come out the way I want to do. If you are the nail art beginner, the first thing I can recommend you is investing in your blushes!!
When I first start practicing 3D nail art(about 4,5 years ago),I bought $7 Kolinski brushes at a local nail supply store. The cheap brushes get damaged easily after one use!!!! Not only that, this junk cannot even mix powder and liquid very well!! There was no way I could make delicate 3D art with this junk!I struggled making simple 3D art and I even thought "I have no talent to be a nail tec." After I bought this $7 brushes 5, 6 times,I decided to purchase "OPI Kolinski Brush", even though it was 3~4 times more expensive than the brushes I had. The OPI brush was awesome!! It gave me a lot of control for the amount of liquid and the size of mixture! Especially, after I practice with the junky brushes, the changes were just sensational!! I used the OPI brushes more than one year with no problems!
From this experience, if anyone asks me about 3D art, I always say "Buy a good brush and do practice a lot!" That's the secret of how to be good at 3D art!
